Cleaning the condenser coils of your LG refrigerator is one of the most common ways to fix this problem. If your refrigerator is not cooling as efficiently as usual, this problem may be due to the coils being dirty.
This could also be due to a faulty fan. You can clean the coils by using a stiff brush, compressed air, and soapy water. A dirty coil can prevent the refrigerator from cooling efficiently, which will lead to spoiled foods and energy bills. It is also important to clean the coils regularly as dirty coils will cause your refrigerator to break down prematurely and increase energy bills by as much as 35%.
In order to clean the condenser coils on your LG refrigerator, unplug it and remove the base grille. Once you've removed the base grille, you should be able to access the coils. Make sure to remove the back panel to give the coils free airflow. You should also remove the appliance from the wall before cleaning it. Clean the coils from all sides, and don't forget to drain it completely.
We recommend professional cleaning and provide those services.
If your LG refrigerator is not cooling, the problem could be with the compressor. There are a few simple things you can do to diagnose the problem.
Before you start looking for a new compressor, make sure your refrigerator is getting power from the main electrical power source. Next, test the compressor by plugging a multimeter into its start and run terminals. If you have a problem with this, call or chat with one of our certified service technicians.
First, make sure the LG refrigerator is receiving power. The light should be on if the cooling system is working properly. If this light does not go off, the problem is in one of the components.
One common culprit for this problem is dust on the condenser coils. Dust on the condenser coils prevents proper heat dissipation. To clean them, use a brush or vacuum to remove any debris or dirt that is on them.
